I have received many comments from users that both versions 1.11.09 and 1.11.10 stopped working as of yesturday. I believe that Google has published an update that broke the add-on, so I am going to need to figure out what's going on and put in a fix of some kind if it's possible. I'm a little pressed for time at the moment, but I will get to it as soon as possible (hopefully within the next few days.) I will need access to some Gmail for Google Apps accounts. If you are willing to create an account on your site for me to test with, please use the contact us form to drop me the access information. Please don't be offended if I don't reply directly as I'm a little swamped, but I really do appreciate the help. In the meantime, can anyone tell me if they're having trouble with all of Google Apps, or just Google Apps in offline mode?

Hi Jerome we are using Google apps and it broke for us last night with the new release. I do not have a free account at the moment sorry. Also, for what it's worth it is no longer working in my personal gmail as well. Thanks! |

I was able to set up a Google Apps account on one of my domains and am plugging away at a fix. It may be today, it may be next week. For what it's worth, my personal Gmail is still working just fine and I have gotten the new "Move To / Labels" buttons. |

Great to hear - thanks for jumping on this! Glad you got an account to test with. To answer your question above - it doesn't work in EITHER offline OR online mode for Google Apps right now. In fact, I don't really care if it doesn't work in offline mode for a while - I can deal with just using it in online mode as a stop-gap. Both would be ideal, obviously though. |

I think I found the problem. It looks like all single address gmail accounts (Standard Gmail and Google Apps) are no longer working. It wasn't working in my Gmail Apps domain until I added a second address and now everything works beautifully. I also tested my wife's Gmail account which also has no additional addresses set up and got the same result. Now that I know what's going on it should be relatively easy to fix the problem and publish an update. |

They broke my getSendButton() function by changing the gmail code! Grrrrr .... fixing .... slowly .... The old Gmail code: <button>Send</button> The new Gmail code: <div class="goog-imageless-button-content"><b>Send</b></div> grrr.... <me>writes angry letter to Gmail as though it would make any difference</me>
shouldn't be too much longer now ... Last edited Feb. 04, 2009 - 10:45am by Jerome

@Tom - Donations are always welcome! There's a donate button on the main Gmail Sigs page towards the right under the contents, or you can go into your gmail and click the "options" button to the right of the create/edit signature button when you compose a message. I finally got the problem fixed and have released v1.11.11. I have to wait about 30-60 minutes for the link to generate on the official Firefox add-on site. Once it's ready, I'll go ahead and post it. |

Appears to be working perfectly. (And much faster!) And it even preserved my signature. Very cool!! Thanks again! |

v1.11.11 is up but hasn't been reviewed by the Firefox add-on site yet, so you unfortunately have to register for an account there. Once you do, if you are taken back to the main page with v1.11.09, just click on "see all versions" (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addons/versions/7757) and you'll be able to install it. Sorry for the inconvenience. It's worth it. Promise. For what it's worth, the customization of preferrences is done from the Gmail interface itself, not with the "Options" button in the add-on list. You probably won't be able to do so with v1.11.10 though as there was an update to the Gmail code that broke the add-on. v1.11.11 fixes the issue. |

Okay, it seems users are reporting BC does work with Google Apps, however I have not been so lucky. System: XP Pro with SP2, Firefox 3.5.7, BC 1.11.13 I have a Google Apps account managing a custom domain with the ability to send from six accounts (will call G1), a google apps Premium account managing a custom domain business account (one account send) (call G2) and a standard GMail account with the ability to send from three accounts (G3). The G3 account, no problem. Works fine. G1 and G2 I do not have any BC buttons to configure or add email signatures. Have deleted cookies, cleared the cache, restarted firefox, rebooted, logged in and out of the accounts with no luck. Anyone else still having the same symptoms as me? |

NavyWings, I am also no longer able to append my HTML signature. Started yeterday, I have rebooted computer, and rebooted FF, which has always worked in the past to bring it back. To no avail.
I read my work email via POP3 and blank canvas is the way I add my HTML signature for outgoing emails, hence I have been frantically searching for this problem.
Thanks guys, Mike a HUGE fan of Blank Canvas |

Glad to hear it's not my computer. I've had exactly the same problem since yesterday afternoon (28th Jan 2010), no access to signature in gmail. I'm using XP professional. |

Well i can now answer my own question. You do NOT get a message when people add to the forum below you, so check back often guys. In other news, I can not imagine what change happened to our computers two days ago that has froze/bricked/killed/sickened Blank Canvas. I dont recall doing any FF upgrades, service packs, or anything of that sort....do you guys? |

No, no changes here, I'd even added a new signature in the morning, then got quite tired flushing everything on my computer to see if that was the problem - but now just a big blank screen. |

WOOOOHOOOOO!!!!!! Looks like we are back to working with the best freakin' FF plugin. Running FF 3.6 on Mac OS X 10.4.11 and was prompted this morning for the latest update! No issues running multiple Google Apps accounts (most critical) but when I logged into my Gmail account it didn't show up (not important to me). Thanks for all the hard work Jerome! |
