Can't determine why, but when I click the drop-down list to select any of the signatures, it won't drop down. This prevents me from modifying the three other signatures because I can't select them....I thought I had looked far enough in the forums for an answer, but to now avail....any thoughts? |

Hi, I am having the same problem. I have set up one signature (which works brilliantly!!) but I would really like to have more and I cannot get the drop down to work. When you click on the arrow, nothing happens. I can change the name of the default signature in the options but cannot view the rest. I have hunted the net and only found this thread referencing this problem. Thanks for your help. Chrome 4.0.249.89 (38071) Blank Canvas Gmail Signatures - Version: 1.12.6 |

Hi, first of all thanks for a great add-in for Chrome, exactly what I was looking for. However I am getting the same bug as described above - the dropdown won't work. Also, when selecting the option to show the "Remove" and "Reinsert" buttons, the "Remove" button does nothing. Using Chrome 4.0.249.89

Hi JefTech, I had the problem with the removed button as well, do you get the same error message (needs javascript allerts turned on):
com.BlankCanvas.GmailSigInstance:
removeSignature()
TypeError: Cannot read property 'document' of undefined
com.BlankCanvas.GmailSigInstance: removeSignature() TypeError: Cannot read property 'document' of undefined

I am also having both these issues.
I can't use the drop down to select different signatures and when I turn the Java Error reporting on I get the same error mentioned above when I choose the remove option. Put Sig Back though is working just fine. Using Chrome 4.1.249.1036 Portable Apps Version. B. |

Hey everyone, I have found a fix which will enable to drop down menu - although I still get the error when I click the 'remove' button. To get the drop down working in Chrome, you need to add another email account to your gmail account. You do this in 'settings' > 'Accounts' > 'Add another account' (slightly different using google apps and normal gmail but you will work it out). Add another email account like a hotmail or other pop3 account so that you have the option to sent an email from either your gmail or new pop3 account. When you create a new message, you will notice a drop down next to "From:" and then magically the drop down for email signature will work! I have no idea why this has fixed it for me (and other people in the office) and I cannot guarantee it will work for everyone. I hope everyone else who had a problem can now enjoy the wonder of Blank Canvas gmail signature!! Enjoy. Tim |
