Getting the add-on approved

Add-ons are most commonly listed on https://addons.mozilla.org and mine is no exception. The reason we as developers use this site is that it is trusted, secure, easy to use, and will easily and automatically notify users of updates, not to mention track how many downloads and daily users the add-on has.

The only problem with this site is the necessity of having volunteer reviewers approve add-ons before they are moved from a temporary sandbox (where they are marked as "experimental" and require that you create an account and login to install them). This is to prevent the site being flooded with useless or malicious add-ons, and is a good thing. The bad part is that add-ons seem to get lost in the sandbox for very long periods of time. Mine has been in there for months with no signs of change. I admit that I did release updates rather frequently, and I think that that may have pushed the review date back each time, but it's still been a while.

I probably won't release another update until v1.11.07 is approved. To voice your support and help out, try posting a topic in the  official extensions release forum. Be sure to be respectful and polite. The reviewers have a lot on their plates, and I understand that, but I want to do what I can to increase awareness of this add-on.

P.S. My post in that forum can be found here.
