Blank Canvas Gmail Signatures is an extension (also known as "add-on") for the Firefox web browser. It will not work on any versions of Internet Explorer. If you need to get Firefox, click here.

Step 1 - Go to Official Firefox Add-on Site

Go to the install Firefox extension page (click here). Make sure you look for the latest version, as it sometimes takes a while for the official Firefox add-on site to approve new releases.

It is always recommended that you install the latest version of the add-on. If the latest version has been reviewed, you can simply click the green "Add to Firefox" button.

If the latest version has not been reviewed, it will be shown as "Experimental" (as in the image below.) This does not mean that the version is in any unsafe or untested, just that they haven't gotten around to officially reviewing it.

To install a version before it has been approved, you will need to login or register for an account if you don't already have one. I apologize for the inconvenience, but it's worth. Promise.

If you do not already have an account on the Firefox add-on site, you can easily create one by clicking on the "Create a new user account" link as shown above. Make sure to use a valid email address that you can check, because you will receive an email that will activate your account. Once you get the email and click on the activation link, you will be able to log in using your new email address and password in order to be able to install the signatures add-on.

If you are taken back to the main page after logging in, you can get back to the list of all versions by clicking on"see all versions" half way down the page or on the image below:

Step 2 - Click Install - Click on the "Install Now" button as shown below:

Step 3 - Restart Firefox - Click the "Restart Firefox" button as shown below:

Firefox will restart, remembering which windows and pages you had open and will re-open them for you.

Step 4 - Verify Installation

Giive Firefox enough time to finish restarting, and look for the "Add-ons" window as shown below. If you do not see this window, you can display it by clicking on the "Tools" menu in Firefox, and then on "Add-ons".

Look through the list of your installed add-onsand make sure you see the "Blank Canvas Gmail Signatures" add-on installed.

Step 5 - Read Getting Started Documentation

You should see a new tab open in Firefox with the Getting Started page. This page will provide lots of useful information on using this add-on.
